To celebrate it’s 15th birthday the Jesterlarf Comedy Club presents a special gala show at the Burgess Hall.
Headliner and comedy superstar Henning Wehn the “German Comedy Ambassador” makes a rare club set appearance. Expect a crash course and diplomatic master class in personal accountability, wonderment at the foibles of British society and have a right old laugh at the same time! Wunderbar!

Support comes from Tom Ward one of the most original and distinctive acts in the country. A finalist in the BBC Radio New Comedy Award and voted Club Comic of the Year with a hilarious spaced-out, sometimes poetic sideways take on the world and a terrifying haircut!

Plus Stefano Paolini an incredible Beat-Boxer and deft stand-up who combines both to deliver an original, playful and hilarious look at life as a second generation Italian immigrant and the culture clash between himself and his quirky family life and parents.

Compere for the show is the charismatic Jonathan Mayor with his marvelously wicked sense of humour who brings a touch of glitz and glamour to the stage.

Simon Evans: Genius
Saturday 28th April

Ever since he was a small boy, all Evans really wanted was to be recognised by the world as a man of genius. He has, until now, remained thwarted. The world seems increasingly indifferent to true genius of any kind, let alone Evans’. Endlessly distracted by the trivial, we allow the classical tools of grammar, logic and rhetoric to lie unregarded in the shed of consciousness, rusting to a picturesque hue that would actually look really great on Instagram. But which filter? Hmmm…

RICH HALL’S HOEDOWN
Rich Hall brings his critically acclaimed new show to St Ives.
There has never been a better time to be an American comedian in the UK. Hall’s precision dismantling of the tenuous relationship between two countries is as freewheeling and deadly accurate as ever. His BBC Four documentaries, most recently Rich Hall’s Countrier Than You and Rich Hall’s Presidential Grudge Match and BBC Radio 4 series Rich Hall’s (US Election) Breakdown have built him a new legion of followers, as has appearances on Have I Got News For You and QI. But if you’ve only ever seen Hall on TV, you’ve short-changed yourself.

“As close as it gets to a guaranteed good show” Scotland on Sunday

The Hoedown begins as a withering dissection of Trump’s America, but ends up being a celebration of Americana. There’s stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship, and ultimately a hilarious, foot-stomping, shit-kicking good time to be had by all. Even if you don’t own a hoe.

Tom Allen : Absolutely
Thursday 10th May

The sharply dressed, well spoken, disparagingly camp son of working class Bromley, Tom Allen embarks on his debut solo tour of the UK

‘Catch him now and you’ll be able to tell people how you saw him before he was famous.’ The Telegraph

As seen on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Live at the Apollo, The Great British Bake O ’s Extra Slice, The John Bishop Show, Virtually Famous, Channel 4’s Comedy Gala at the O2 and heard on Radio 4’s Just a Minute.

‘Riotous stuff, perfectly delivered.’ Scotsman

In the last year Tom has supported Sarah Millican around the world, sold out his Edinburgh and London runs and even passed his driving test!

‘The camply refined comic’s Afternoon Tea chat show was a highlight of this year’s Edinburgh festival, so it’s great to see his light-entertainment prowess being recognised’ The Independent.
